사회생활과 공공시설 이용 등 익숙한 사회적 주제로 사회적 관계를 유지하는데 필요한 언어 기능을 수행할 수 있다.

익숙하지 않은 사회 현상에 대한 학습뿐만 아니라 한국 문화에 대한 이해를 바탕으로 관용적 표현과 사회활동에 필요한 다양한 언어기능을 익혀서 사용할 수 있다.

한국 문화와 사회에 대한 깊이 있는 이해를 바탕으로 공식적이며 문어적인 표현 및 비공식적이며 구어체적인 표현까지 익혀서 자신의 의견을 자유롭게 표현할 수 있다.

자신의 전문 분야에서의 연구나 직장을 비롯한 사회에서의 업무 수행을 위해 필요한 언어 능력을 배양하여 목표 사회의 구성원으로서의 역할을 수행할 수 있는 능력을 기른다.
